Camera Activation
Before you can get up and running using your 360° camera, you must first install and activate the Insta360 app from the IOS Appstore or Google Playstore.
Make sure your camera is at least 50% charged.
Once the app is installed:
Turn the camera on and open the Insta360 app on your phone
Tap the yellow CONNECT icon in the middle of the toolbar
Select your camera. Once its detected tap Join when presented with the camera’s Wi-Fi network.
Install any available firmware updates
Next, Tap activate!
Activation is complete.
Camera Setup
Swipe down from the top of the camera screen
Tap on the rocket icon (bottom left icon)
Inside the Quickcapture settings - Toggle Quickcapture on.
Tap on Shooting Mode and ensure these settings are selected:
360Timelapse
Toggle on Customise Specs and tap into Shooting Parameters. Make sure these settings are selected:
Resolution 5.7KInterval 0.5s
The setup is complete!
To test if the setup is correct - with the camera switched off, press on the Quickcapture (bottom left circlular button below the screen).
If the setup is correct the screen will turn on and the recording will begin & you should see that the camera is capturing in timelapse mode, 5.7k, 0.5 sec intervals..
Press the same button to end the recording. A countdown timer will turn the phone off 5 seconds after.
