AIM offers two flexible ways to create new sites, depending on your user permissions and your workflow needs:
Individual Site Creation
Perfect for ad-hoc or small-scale needs, this method allows users to manually create a site directly within the platform.
Simply click the “+ New Site” button.
Enter your site information (e.g., name, location, reference ID, etc.).
Save the entry and start working immediately.
Step-by-step guide for Individual Site Creation
1. Login into your AIM platform
2. Click "Sites"
3. Click "Add New Site"
4. Enter your site name, this is typically address & Postcode
5. Click the "Enter an address or postcode to search for an address" field.
6. Search & find address.
7. When the correct appears click on the address.
8. Click "Save"
Bulk Site Import
Designed for large-scale onboarding or portfolio management, the bulk import feature lets you create multiple sites at once using a standard template.
Use the provided CSV template to prepare your site data.
Upload the completed file via the Site Import tool.
AIM will validate the data and generate the sites accordingly.
Remember to drive efficiency and link to a project at this stage (if relevant)
Step-by-step guide for Bulk Site Import
1. login into your AIM account.
2. Click "Sites"
3. Click "Import sites"
4. Click "CSV template" and the template will download.
5. If it does not auto download, Right-click "CSV template"
6. Format CSV, Enter your addresses, URPN (Where relevant), Projects to auto sync, Client. please be carefully to ensure they identically match. It is worth spending time at this stage ensuring the data is correct and as clean as possible.

7. Click "Drop files here to upload"
8. If any issues with the data, the platform will let you know what rows and what issues it has with the data.
9. Click "Import 3 site(s)"
Formatting Your CSV for Site Import
To successfully upload sites into AIM using the bulk import feature, your CSV must match the required structure. Below is a full breakdown of each column header, its purpose, and whether it's required.
Tip: Start with a small test
Before importing a large list, try uploading just 1–5 sites to confirm formatting is correct and data lands as expected.

✅ Columns marked as Required must be filled for each row, or the import may fail.
Note: Clients / Projects should be created first and ensure match identically.
Tip: Use address + postcode as the site name
In most cases, using the address and postcode is a clear and unique way to name your sites. You can quickly generate site names in Excel using this formula:
=CONCAT(E2, ", ", J2)
(Assuming E2 = address_line_1 and J2 = post_code)
